  1. Thank you for this. Whenever I try to talk to my black girl friends about comics and Sci-Fi they just don’t get why I would prefer these fantastic stories over the latest hood rat to riches novel. So glad I have something to refer to when others feel that Sci-Fi is not for us.

    1. You’re welcome @SheWhoKnows, I’ve always been a lover of Science Fiction and even have a few friends of color who are more die hard than I am! Nowadays comic, anime, and other science fiction conferences have a fair turn out of women from all parts of the African diaspora.
