Parenting has multiple seasons as challenging as t Parenting has multiple seasons as challenging as the newborn stage.

As a parent of a toddler & two teenagers, let me tell you there are multiple seasons that require incredibly high-touch & present parenting to keep them safe & supported, which is time-consuming & emotionally taxing.

The newborn/toddler stage is a marathon.

Equipping a teen to become an adult through hormonal changes, peer pressure, their personal development, & in the age of rapidly evolving tech & social media is marathon.
I’ve been doing some research to help me prepare I’ve been doing some research to help me prepare for the future journeys I will have to walk alongside my children on, and here is one that kind of freaks me out as a Mom who still sees them as my little babies. Your child is already getting messages from everywhere: playgrounds, group chats, media, and silence. If we don’t speak up, those gaps get filled with shame, stereotypes, or worse… cruelty.

Talking about gender and sexuality doesn’t confuse kids. It empowers them. It teaches them how to be inclusive, stand up for others, and understand themselves without fear.

You don’t have to be an expert to start the conversation. You just have to be open. Ask questions. Use correct language. Normalize differences. And most importantly: listen.

Raising kind humans takes intention.
Let’s break cycles, not spirits.
