I’m Samantha and I’m a parenting coach and community builder

I am an analytical and empathetic thought leader passionate about continuous learning, community care, trauma-informed adulting, and authentic storytelling.

I’m a working Mom, tactical visionary, avid reader, and community builder. I live in Southern California with my college sweetheart and husband and am known for my intentional parenting, self-reparenting tips, and sometimes viral parenting and cultural commentary.

We often focus on the female side of fertility, bu We often focus on the female side of fertility, but today, let’s talk about something equally vital: the profound impact of male semen quality on a successful pregnancy.

(Please note, I am all over the place with gender and sexuality terms. My bad. I was in my feelings.)

Each tiny sperm carries half of a baby’s DNA, and the integrity of that DNA is crucial.

Research shows that high levels of sperm DNA fragmentation… essentially, damage to the sperm’s genetic code can significantly affect more than just conception. Studies indicate it’s linked to a higher risk of miscarriage, embryo developmental issues, and even certain pregnancy complications.

But too often female fertility is overly scrutinized, maybe for male ego and clearly for medical and scientific sexism.

Please note, I am not an expert. But this is not discussed enough.
