I’ve been doing some research to help me prepare I’ve been doing some research to help me prepare for the future journeys I will have to walk alongside my children on, and here is one that kind of freaks me out as a Mom who still sees them as my little babies. However, romantic love and intimacy are a natural part of life. Here, I’m sharing some of the knowledge I’m equipping myself with for ongoing and future parenting conversations.

You don’t need to have perfect answers. You just need to show up with honesty, respect, and the willingness to keep the conversation going.

- Talk about what healthy intimacy looks like.

- Teach them how to recognize manipulation or coercion, and how to respect others.
Remind them that NOT doing something is always an option.

- And let them know, no matter what, they can come to you.

If we want to raise kids who are kind, safe, and g If we want to raise kids who are kind, safe, and grounded in their values, we can’t skip the conversation about gender and sexuality.

Your child is already getting messages from everywhere: playgrounds, group chats, media, and silence. If we don’t speak up, those gaps get filled with shame, stereotypes, or worse… cruelty.

Talking about gender and sexuality doesn’t confuse kids. It empowers them. It teaches them how to be inclusive, stand up for others, and understand themselves without fear.

You don’t have to be an expert to start the conversation. You just have to be open. Ask questions. Use correct language. Normalize differences. And most importantly: listen.

Raising kind humans takes intention.
Let’s break cycles, not spirits.

I saw the news that there are extreme heat warning I saw the news that there are extreme heat warnings issued for this weekend across Arizona. It reminded me that 3 years ago we went on a multi-week road trip across the country from the west coast to the east coast of the USA. Arizona was the first day and first stop of our road trip in June of 2022 and because of the CO —-VID we were not eating indoors.

Please note that I know more about Arizona than I did in the video.
