Children of Blood and Bone is going to be a bestseller. In this story you will find pain, you will find fear, you will find oppression, and you will indeed find death. But you will also find community, you will find love, you will find power, you will find simple and powerful truths running through the veins of anyone who dared to journey and live another day after the dust settles. 

I again read 10 books in January. I had the flu for two weeks and lost my self to a world of faeries, a genre I had not read before. Caught up on the Red Rising Saga, which could arguably rank amongst the best science fiction of my generation and read two new releases and one advanced copy of a book to be released later this year. 

Even when I love the world these imaginative writers create, I’m disappointed by certain reoccurring elements

The expanding of possibility and universe that a well written narrative brings. If you’ve never experienced this, you are reading the wrong books and I highly recommend finding those written stories that leave you a tinge breathless because it’s bursting at the seams with awesomeness. 

I’ve exceeded my Goodreads challenge goal and read more than 30 books with only 3 months of 2017 under my belt. Among this list are some of the best and worst books I have ever read.

There is something so crucial about literary art so honest and daring that it removes you from your own comfort zone and forces you to reexamine your own self and surroundings.
