They don’t know about Haitian women. During the They don’t know about Haitian women. During the Haitian revolution there were multiple women who were military and strategic leaders. Like Victoria Montou a midwife, healer and brilliant military mind who became a Lieutenant in Toussaint Louverture’s revolutionary army. She built an indigenous army of former slaves and native Saint-Domingue people, training them in guerrilla warfare and combat tactics.

And she is one of multiple women of considerable note in Haiti’s revolutionary history. Don’t try Haitian people. 

Never forget: Haiti, the world’s first black-led republic & only nation established by slave revolt in history, had to pay REPARATIONS to its French enslavers. $21 billion today, crippling debt that took 122 years to pay off.
