Parenting has multiple seasons as challenging as t Parenting has multiple seasons as challenging as the newborn stage.

As a parent of a toddler & two teenagers, let me tell you there are multiple seasons that require incredibly high-touch & present parenting to keep them safe & supported, which is time-consuming & emotionally taxing.

The newborn/toddler stage is a marathon.

Equipping a teen to become an adult through hormonal changes, peer pressure, their personal development, & in the age of rapidly evolving tech & social media is marathon.
I’ve been doing some research to help me prepare I’ve been doing some research to help me prepare for the future journeys I will have to walk alongside my children on, and here is one that kind of freaks me out as a Mom who still sees them as my little babies. However, romantic love and intimacy are a natural part of life. Here, I’m sharing some of the knowledge I’m equipping myself with for ongoing and future parenting conversations.

You don’t need to have perfect answers. You just need to show up with honesty, respect, and the willingness to keep the conversation going.

- Talk about what healthy intimacy looks like.

- Teach them how to recognize manipulation or coercion, and how to respect others.
Remind them that NOT doing something is always an option.

- And let them know, no matter what, they can come to you.

- You’re not planting ideas. You’re planting wisdom.

If we want to raise kids who are kind, safe, and g If we want to raise kids who are kind, safe, and grounded in their values, we can’t skip the conversation about gender and sexuality. 

Your child is already getting messages from everywhere: playgrounds, group chats, media, and silence. If we don’t speak up, those gaps get filled with shame, stereotypes, or worse… cruelty.

Talking about gender and sexuality doesn’t confuse kids. It empowers them. It teaches them how to be inclusive, stand up for others, and understand themselves without fear.

You don’t have to be an expert to start the conversation. You just have to be open. Ask questions. Use correct language. Normalize differences. And most importantly: listen.

Raising kind humans takes intention.
Let’s break cycles, not spirits.
